Why Ghee?

- Ghee is comprised of full spectrum short, medium and long chain fatty acids, both unsaturated and saturated. Ghee contains Omega 3 and Omega 9 essential fatty acids along with vitamins A, D, E and K.

- Ghee made from organic butter of pastured cows is one of the best natural sources of Conjugated Linoleic Acid.

- Ghee is great for frying foods--smoke point of 485 degrees is higher than most vegetable oils.

Why Spring Sunrise Ghee?

Our ghee is prepared with organic butter from grass fed cows raised in the United States that are never exposed to pesticides or artificial hormones. Our butter comes from cows with year-round access to green grass. This gives our ghee its rich color and flavor.

Fresh organic grass fed butter is cooked in small batches slowly over many hours to remove water and milk solids that contain lactose from golden ghee. It is then filtered and poured into jars by hand before being enjoyed by our ghee loving community.
